Having been busy over the past several weeks, I have finally been able to update the website and post some information about development work I have been doing.

The community map manager which is a component I have developed for Joomla! is a software that allows Joomla! users to maintain a community map and directory for a geographical area. It allows for easy input and update of information about streets, buildings and structures for a location.

I will be posting additional information for the community map manager and other available software I have been developing right now.

Community Map Manager is a component type extension for Joomla! For those of you who don’t know yet, Joomla! is a very user-friendly content management system created using the powerful web-scripting language called PHP. Joomla! allows you to extend it’s basic functions by adding different types of extensions like components, modules, mambots and templates.

Joomla! has a lot of available extensions for different types of functions. Some of these functions include forums, community building, search engine optimization, e-commerce, web directory (like the community map manager that I am currently developing).
